Sports Commission

There is a representative for every sports offer that takes place regularly in our club. They all represent the interests of the various sports in the club and thus form the sports committee. The member of the sports committee for your sport is your direct contact person for all club issues.

Bastien
squash

In 1993, Bernd joined the badminton club before switching to squash in 1996. He has been leading this small but fine group for more than 15 years.

 

Leisure time: traveling, participating in international squash tournaments, cinema, reading.

Volleyball 1 & 2

In addition to training, he makes sure that volleyball goes to tournaments again and again. He himself plays in the 2nd division. By the way, volleyball was the first sport of Rainbow Sport.

 

Leisure time: Sport and exercise are generally important to him. In addition to volleyball, this can include badminton, tennis, skiing and cycling, but also ski touring, diving or climbing a mountain. Jogging isn’t really his thing. Then he has a weakness for the cinema, especially for the Locarno Film Festival and he also enjoys reading, especially on his terrace or on the beach.

Volleyball 3&4

Has been a member of Rainbow Sport Zurich since 2012 and has been actively involved in club life ever since. It is important to him that the players, from beginners to advanced, have fun and enjoyment. Organizing is his passion. So he took on a lot of responsibility and also helped organize the badminton tournament in 2015.

 

Leisure time: In addition to badminton and volleyball, he loves to hike and likes to spend his time in his allotment garden.

Yoga

Stephan has been active in Rainbow Sport Zurich since May 2022 and otherwise has 2 mainstays:

1.) Nursing (40%) as a nursing specialist at Cura Mobile Spitex.

2) Teaching (40%): as a Pilates trainer at Pilates Zurich, Live Fit and Activ Fitness, and as a ballet and yoga teacher at Tanzwerk101.

He is also building up his self-employment as a yoga teacher; medical stretching bodyworker and dance and movement therapist in the Linde area.

Leisure time: Stephan is a movement person, enjoys dancing and playing badminton. Yoga/meditation balances him out. He likes to travel, enjoys art and culture and goes to wellness.

Sport and competition have accompanied him since his youth. Starting with tennis, through cycling to badminton. Active at Rainbow Sport since 2015 where he plays actively and regularly takes part in tournaments across Europe. He welcomes all members from beginners to advanced competitors. The gender does not matter, the main thing is to have fun and enjoy the game and camaraderie! In addition to sports and competitions, Denis still has some time for quieter moments, such as enjoying a delicious meal with a glass or two of wine. In the morning or in the evening, there can also be a yoga session to compensate.

Tennis summer

He is a member of Rainbow Sport Zürich since 2004 and actively involved since 2020. Tennis at Rainbow Sprt has contributed enormously to his social life in Zürich, and he is willing to perpetuate that opportunity for new comers and to keep the summer group an attractive place to play.

Leisure time: ski, hiking, mountain biking, quality family time, good food and wine, games nights

Ashley has been a member of RSZ since 2003. She has been responsible for RSZ Winter Tennis since October 2022. She enjoys the socialising and friendships that have formed over the years in the tennis group. Apart from being an avid tennis player, she also enjoys going to the gym, cooking and travelling.

Frontrunners

Julien has been running with and representing Zürich Frontrunners on the sports committee since 2021. With his easygoing and friendly manner, he coordinates Frontrunners under the motto: “Meet, run and have good time“. He also organises the running-technique and coordination training sessions under the guidance of coach Jonas.

Leisure time: In addition to jogging, he loves skiing, discovering the world and learning about new cultures.

Pilates

Timur Misirlioglu is a trained dancer in modern and contemporary dance. He was trained at the ArtEZ, University of the Arts, in Arnhem/Holland and looks back on a very versatile career as a dancer. In the fitness industry he completed various training and further education courses, mainly in the field of group fitness, which led him from classical aerobics to various Body&Mind concepts and finally to Pilates. Since 2005 Timur has been a certified PILATES Bodymotion Matwork Trainer. The following year he was accepted into the training team in Germany. He passed the Allegro exam in 2008. He finished the studio equipment series in 2010.
At the end of 2016, he began training as a fascial fitness trainer with Dr. Robert Schleip and Divo Müller, which he successfully completed at the beginning of 2017.
