Welcome! Willkommen! Bienvenue ! Benvenuti ! Bainvegni! Isten hozott! ¡Bienvenido! Witam! いらっしゃいませ ! Ласкаво просимо! !ברוך הבא Tervetuloa !

Thank you for your interest in our LGBT+ Swimming Club - the Zürich Sea Lions which belongs to the LGBT+ Sports Association *Rainbow Sport Zurich*. I am Bastien (pronoun: he) and I have been running the club since March 2016. Together with my deputy, Nerico (pronoun: he), we look after more than 80 Sea Lions.

Trans and intersex people who would like to go to the indoor pool in a safe environment and do not necessarily take part in swimming training, we recommend TINA+ swimming on Tuesdays from 8pm to 9pm (except school vacations) at the Altweg school swimming pool, Letzigraben 200, Zurich. You can find more information at TGNS.

About the Zürich Sea Lions Club

We are a very international swimming Club with people of all genders, sexual orientations (even a few heterosexuals), ages, origins, etc.

The official language of the Club is, of course, German (Swiss German). Therefore, the training will mainly be conducted in high German with a bit of English here and there. As we are so international, and not everyone is able to speak/understand German, we adapt and help each to understand the drills throughout the training.

Finally, we are an active Club that participates in various international LGBT+ swimming competitions throughout the year (Amsterdam, Barcelona, Lisbon, Frankfurt, to name a few). These competitions are fun and meant for all swimming levels.

Our trainings

We have 4 swimming sessions per week (Monday noon, Monday evening, Wednesday & Friday) during which we practice the 4 swimming styles (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke & crawl) and swim varied series. You decide which training you participate in (once or twice a week).

Note that due to a lack of space (only two lanes), newcomers can currently not attend the Monday evening training. Once you have become an official member, the attendance will however be possible during school vacation only. You will be informed accordingly on our official Whatsapp group and per email.

Our swimmers have different levels (Average, Intermediary and Advanced). Therefore, our coaches Senata and Rahel/Sergio prepare two or three different programs (Average, Intermediary and Advanced).
